The Northfield Guest House is dedicated to my parents, Chick and Agnes Caron, who raised 3 children and took the 3.5 acre farm from cows and chickens to a beautiful country estate. After their passing, I just couldn’t let it go. What better way to share the happiness of being out in the country than offering it to those who feel the same way. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy all the activities in the area such as fishing, hiking, bicycling, exploring historic sites, farmer’s markets, dining and much more.
Owners, Lee and Denise Caron Winemiller, live on property from May-October. We will greet you upon arrival and answer any questions you may have.
The town of Northfield was established in 1673 and in 1934, Isabel and Monroe Smith opened the first U.S. youth hostel in Northfield. Hostels are unique in that you are sharing common facilities but may be a bit barren on amenities. Not the case with the Northfield Guest House.
Guests rent individual rooms and share the two full bathrooms but also have access to a completely renovated home with all new appliances, furniture, living room, dining and kitchen areas. A continental breakfast will be provided or guests may also cook on their own.
All areas, including bedrooms, are equipped w/ energy efficient mini-split systems for an incredibly comfortable and quiet climate controlled area. There is also WiFi throughout the property and a computer work area w/ printer is available. Plenty of free parking.
There is a full bathroom downstairs right off the kitchen with a 5’ walk-in shower, toilet closet, double-sink vanity, washer/dryer with folding/ironing area.
There is also a full bathroom upstairs with a tub, sink vanity and toilet.
